Te-PoolSafe Option is a liquid arrival check system that enables blood banks and NAT testing laboratories to monitor and evaluate the performance of their pooling application. This latest development from Tecan improves safety in all pooling applications by ensuring full sample traceability and documented proof of performance, leaving users confident that the appropriate amount of liquid has been pipetted from each sample into the pool.

Te-PoolSafe Option consists of a very fast and sensitive balance module with a 16-position tube holder, and software that measures and evaluates each dispense from primary samples to the sample pool, to confirm liquid arrival. Results are displayed to the system operator or, alternatively, may be transferred to the laboratory information system (LIS) for automated processing. Te-PoolSafe Option integrates seamlessly with Tecan Logic Software and Freedom EVOware® Sample Oriented which controls the application process and allows for full documentation of raw data and results.

Te-PoolSafe Option highlights are:

• Inaccurately dispensed samples are selectively identified and can be separately re-pipetted
• Fully compatible with PosID2 barcode reading system for sample traceability
• Suitable for pooling tubes with an outer diameter of 12, 16 and 17 mm
• Easy upgradable to existing Freedom EVO Clinical and Genesis RSP instruments

• Comes with calibration certificate according to DKD (German Calibration service)
• Certified according to In-Vitro Diagnostics Directive 98/79 EC
