High-throughput Protein Purification using PhyTip®

The PhyNexus PhyTip® columns are innovative purification tools that radically simplify the purification, enrichment and desalting of proteins from a variety of sources. Key to the success of these purification tools is the design of the mechanism to retain the affinity resin bed, with minimum dead volume and maximum capture potential. The disposable PhyTip® columns have been optimized to produce the highest possible purity and either maximum yield or high concentration of sample proteins. They have also been developed to perform these functions with low sample volumes and reagents, thus saving valuable resources.

The PhyTip® columns are designed and fully tested to work with the Freedom EVO® platforms, equipped with 8 and 96 channels. The combination of Tecan's robotic integration and liquid handling expertise together with the innovative PhyTip® columns gives the user a fully automated protein purification system for higher throughput demands. Up to 96 purifications can be performed in as little as 15 minutes in a walk-away manner. The system addresses the processing of both native and recombinant proteins and other analytes like carbohydrates, with low cross-contamination, high reproducibility, and highly robust processing. Standard and custom chromatography media can be packed into the PhyTip® columns, giving the customer the highest flexibility in the choice of their purification methods.
