Dear Customers,

Some versions Freedom EVOware Standard and Freedom EVOware Plus will not function correctly starting Jan 1st 2020, due to a logging date validation error. If you are using an affected version of EVOware with TouchTools you will be unable to start a script, and if you are using EVOware alone, your process may end incorrectly in errors. Also if you are using EVOware with API control may experience unexpected freezes.

Whilst there is no safety risk related to this bug it is important to apply a patch to ensure correct operation beyond Jan 1st 2020.

The affected versions are Freedom EVOware 2.5 - 2.7 SP3 under Windows XP and Windows 7, and 2.8 under Windows 7 and Windows 10. This problem does not exist in earlier or later versions of EVOware.

We have released a patch that can easily be applied to any of the affected versions. The patch is very easy to install and updates a single configuration file that is used by Freedom EVOware to determine the validity of a date format. The installation of this patch will not affect the main version number of the EVOware software.
