How to find Sunrise™ files needed to support

This article describes which detailed information is important for issue analysis and how to collect instrument files

When operating the Sunrise™ instrument via software, files are generated automatically. These files can be analyzed to help identify the cause of any issues that arise. Additionally, providing further information may be helpful with troubleshooting.

The required support information may vary based on the specific type of instrument operation.

  1. If your instrument is controlled by Magellan™
    1. Version of Magellan™
    2. Version of Microsoft Windows Operating System
    3. Measured Data
      default path C:\Users\Public\Documents\Tecan\Magellan\wsp\ can also be adjusted within Magellan\miscellaneous\options
    4. LogFiles
      START/Run/%temp% all files which contains “RdrOle” from the date/time where the problem occurred – files will be overwritten after 5 runs

  2. If your instrument is controlled by QC Pac™ 2 
    1. Provide version of QC Pac™ 2
    2. Version of Microsoft Windows Operating System
    3. Measured Data
      C:\Users\Public\Documents\Tecan\QCPac4x\DataFiles\
    4. LogFiles
      START/Run/%temp% file named “RdrOleCheck.log” – files will be overwritten after 5 runsIf your instrument is controlled by QC Pac™2

  3. If your instrument is integrated into a robotic platform from Tecan Switzerland
    1. Freedom EVOlyzer®
      1. Measured Data
        C:\ProgramData\Tecan\EVOlution for EVOlyzer 2.0\Configurations\*customer configuration*\ReaderMethods\wsp
      2. Magellan Logfiles
        C:\Users\Public\Documents\Tecan\LogFiles\Magellan
      3. Sunrise logfiles
        START/Run/%temp% all files which contains “RdrOle” from the date/time where the problem occurred – files will be overwritten after 5 runs
    2. Freedom EVO®

      2. Export of Microsoft Windows Event Viewer for Windows Logs of Application, Security and System (Save All Events As…)
      3. Measured Data
        Default *.wsp file path provided in EVOware: C:\ProgramData\Tecan\EVOware\Output\Date
      4. LogFiles
        START/Run/%temp% all files which contains “RdrOle” from the date/time where the problem occurred – files will be overwritten after 5 runs
    3. Fluent®
      1. Version of Magellan™
      2. Export of Microsoft Windows Event Viewer for Windows Logs of Application, Security and System (Save All Events As…)
      3. Measured Data
        C:\temp\<YYMMDD-NNN> (default path can be adjusted in the FluentControl driver or the Measure command itself)
      4. LogFiles
        START/Run/%temp% all files which contains “RdrOle” from the date/time where the problem occurred – files will be overwritten after 5 runs
