What is the difference between a Fluent and the Proteomics Fluent?

The Fluent Automated Workstation by Tecan is an advanced laboratory automation platform designed to streamline liquid handling and sample preparation workflows. It combines robotic precision, flexible deck configurations, and intelligent software to improve efficiency and reproducibility in research and diagnostic laboratories. The Proteomics Fluent is based on the Fluent, and includes a defined configuration combining AirFCA, MCA96, RGA and integrated laboratory devices, with pre-scripted application methods for proteomic sample preparation.

What software is included and do I need to know how to code?

No coding experience is required. The Fluent platform runs on FluentControl™, an intuitive software environment that lets you build, configure, and optimize automated assays through a visual interface. Introspect™, Tecan's cloud-based monitoring tool, provides real-time visibility into instrument productivity and helps identify bottlenecks across your lab. For pre-packaged solutions, a library of scripts for common proteomics workflows is provided and continuously updated.

Does Fluent support GxP compliance?

Yes. The Fluent platform includes built-in support for regulated environments, including a full GxP audit trail, electronic signatures, and user access controls through FluentControl Gx Assurance software.
