      Compatibility of antivirus program with FluentControl™

      Is my virus scanner software compatible with FluentControl™?

      Tecan has neither tested nor recommends any particular antivirus software. ​If you would like to opt for one it is highly recommended to use an up to date and reputable firewall and anti-virus solution. Scans should only be executed when FluentControl is not running to prevent loss of data. Alternatively, if scans must be performed during instrument operation, any FluentControl directories should be whitelisted.

      In the virus scanner, exclude these directories and all subfolders: 

      - C:\Program Files (x86)\TECAN 

      - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Tecan 

      - C:\ProgramData\Tecan  

       

      Note: The Program Data directory is usually hidden. In this case, display hidden items in Windows® and then exclude the directory from the scan.
