Compatibility of virus scanners
Is my virus scanner software compatible with EVOlution™?
Tecan has not tested nor recommends any particular antivirus software. We recommend not running the virus scanner while using the EVOlution™ software. However, if the virus scanner must be used while EVOlution™ is running, we recommend excluding the following directories from the scan.
In the virus scanner, exclude these directories and all subfolders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\TECAN
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Tecan
C:\ProgramData\Tecan
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Tecan
Note: The Program Data directory is usually hidden. In this case, display hidden items in Windows® and then exclude the directory from the scan.
Next steps if further support is needed:
- Note your serial number. Where can I find my serial number?
- Create a service request.
