DriverFramework (DFW) Overview

The DriverFramework (DFW) is Labwerx’s software solution to manage and integrate various devices in EVOware and FluentControl.

Drivers

Driver Status Indicators

Under Driver Settings, you can check the status of each driver using the following indicators:

  • Running: A green icon indicates that a module is performing some macro action.
  • Warning: An orange icon indicates that a module has a runtime warning.
  • Enabled & Idle: A white icon indicates that a module is in real mode but currently inactive.
  • Simulation: A grey icon indicates that a module is in simulation mode.
  • Error: A red icon indicates that a module is in an error state and requires initialization or troubleshooting.

Licensing

Each driver requires a valid license to be used with EVOware or FluentControl. Licenses are typically issued based on the instrument's serial number. Drivers can be tested free of charge for 30 days with a test license, which can be requested from your local Helpdesk.

License Manager

The License Manager allows you to manage all installed licenses, add new licenses, and view license details.

Support

The DriverFramework generates its own logs, capturing the communication between EVOware and the DriverFramework, as well as between the DriverFramework and the driver.

The log files can be found at:

“C:\ProgramData\Tecan\Pegasus\Log”.

DF1

For detailed error and warning information, you can use the Pegasus Log Viewer, located in the program folder.

If you encounter issues with a driver connected to the DriverFramework, please gather the Pegasus log files and provide comprehensive details about the problem to your local Helpdesk for further assistance.

Additionally, the log files can be included in a Zip&Send by manually adding the directory in the Zip&Send application.
