ERR002 Sensor Defect Error

1. Usual root causes

An issue prevents the dispense pump from operating as expected.

2. First aid

• Review the wash program and check the selected dispense or wash rate.

• If the issue appears when drip mode is selected, the root cause is related to the surface tension of the liquid in use. You may consider adding detergent to reduce the surface tension or selecting a higher dispense or wash rate.

3. Typical solution

If the issue cannot be resolved, contact Tecan®. If the surface tension in drip mode is the root cause, a Tecan® engineer may be able to calibrate the dispense pump for the buffer in use.

4. Further recommendations

This error can be avoided by performing regular maintenance according to the instructions in the operating manual.

5. Next steps

• Note your instrument serial number.
• If the instrument is controlled by HydroControl™, save the log files.
• Create a service request and include the serial number and log files.
