1. Usual root causes
An issue causes the liquid level detection option to detect an empty liquid or full waste bottle.
2. First aid
• Check the filling level of the bottles:
- Check whether the liquid bottle used for the selected input channel is filled with liquid.
- Check whether the waste bottle is empty.
• Make sure that the liquid bottle floating switch wire that is used for the selected input channel is connected correctly to the back side of the instrument.
• Make sure that the waste bottle floating switch wire is connected correctly to the back side of the instrument.
3. Typical solution
If the issue cannot be resolved, contact Tecan® to schedule an onsite intervention or to send the instrument for in-house repair.
4. Further recommendations
This error can be avoided by ensuring proper connections between the attached bottles and the instrument prior to starting a program.

• Note your instrument serial number.
• If the instrument is controlled by HydroControl™, save the log files.
• Create a service request and include the serial number and log files.
