Fixed and Disposable tip materials on an Freedom EVO®
Identify different tips to check chemical compatibility.
Understanding the materials that tips on Freedom EVO® instruments are made from is crucial for their care and usage. Please use the following information to use suitable liquid for cleaning the tips and pipetting in your Freedom EVO®.
Disposable tips (DiTi) are made of Polypropylene (Carbon black is added for conductivity)
Standard tips on EVO are made of stainless steel and can have any of the following coatings:
Stainless steel tip with soft Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE; Teflon) coating outside
Color: Light green
Stainless steel tip with hard ceramic coating inside and outside
Color: Black
Stainless steel tip with hard PTFE coating outside and inside
Color: Dark green
Stainless steel tip with hard PTFE coating outside
Color: Gray
