How to find log files
1. Usual root causes
When an error message appears while operating the Infinite® 200 PRO in i-control™ or Magellan™, error log files are generated.
2. First aid
Take a screenshot of the error message and its instructions.
3. Typical solution
i-control™
The location of the log file depends on the Windows® operating system:
•On Windows® XP computers, these log files are stored in one or both of these locations:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Tecan\LogFiles\i-control\Version\ <Instrument_Serial_Number>\
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Tecan\LogFiles\Exceptions
•On computers running Windows® 7, Windows® 8.1 and Windows® 10, these log files are stored in one or both of these locations:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Tecan\LogFiles\i-control\Version\ <Instrument_Serial_Number>\
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Tecan\LogFiles\Exceptions
Magellan™
•On Windows® XP computers, these log files are stored in one or more of these locations:
C:\Documents and Settings\All
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Tecan\Logfiles\Magellan\Version\Instrument Serial Number
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Tecan\LogFiles\Exceptions
•On computers running Windows® 7, Windows® 8 and Windows® 10, these log files are stored in one or both of these locations:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Tecan\Logfiles\Magellan\Version\Instrument Serial Number
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Tecan\LogFiles\Exceptions
