After you've created your Assistant, it is time to schedule it. Learn the different ways to schedule your Assistants.
How to schedule an Assistant
Assistants can be scheduled in multiple ways depending on your operations. It can be scheduled:
- During a job: Assistants are automatically scheduled when a job for a Workflow is scheduled
- How do I do this?
- You will need to add the Assistant to a Workflow. Then, whenever you schedule a job for that Workflow, the Assistants will be scheduled.
- How do I do this?
- At a recurring time: Schedule Assistants to repeat daily, weekly, or on weekdays
- How do I do this?
- You will first need to create a Workflow with your Assistant(s) and flag the Workflow as recurrent in the code. For details on how to do this, please get in touch with your Customer Success Manager.
- Then, go to Settings - Select your Lab under Lab Operations
- Go to Recurring Jobs - Select "Schedule a new Recurring Job"

- After a triggering event: You can specify events to trigger an Assistant scheduling, such as after X number of jobs have run, reagent volume levels, if certain job types are scheduled, and after a certain amount of time has passed since an event

- This requires logic to be built out in the lab configuration and Workflows application. For details on how to do this, please get in touch with our customer support team.

- On-demand: Manually scheduled to run at a specific time or ASAP
- How do I do this?
- Navigate to the Lab's LabOps view
- Click Create New --> Assistant Run
- Select your Assistant and schedule to run ASAP or custom time
- Navigate to the Lab's LabOps view
