Description of Signatures in Magellan Tracker

Introduction:

This article describes the use of signatures in Magellan Tracker.

Magellan Tracker offers the possibility to electronically sign a file by using the Attach signature wizard. Only users with the according rights can access this wizard.

Method (*.mth) and Workspace (*.wsp) files can be signed.

A signature needs a Username and a password.
Three different signatures are supported.

Review, Approval and Custom signature.

Several rules apply for signatures:

1. Signatures must be performed in the correct order.
   Review signature must be performed before Approval signature.
   
   
   
   
2. Review signature and Approval signature must be performed by different users.
   
   
   
   
3. If a change is made in a signed file, the signature will be removed, and the signing process must be started anew.
   
   

Signatures can be viewed in the Wizards (Evaluate results wizard, Create/Edit a method wizard) under Status when selecting a file:
