Dr. Achim von Leoprechting, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Achim became the CEO of Tecan in April 2019. He joined Tecan in October 2013 as a member of the Management Board and Head of the Partnering Business division. Under his leadership the Partnering Business grew by an average rate of more than 9% per year.

Prior to joining Tecan, Achim had many years of experience in a wide range of management positions in the life science industry. From 2002-2013, he worked in various areas and held diverse positions with increasing management responsibility at PerkinElmer Inc., most recently as a Vice President and General Manager in the Life Science division. Before his corporate career, Achim was a researcher in the skin cancer unit at the Freiburg University dermatology teaching hospital in Germany.

Achim von Leoprechting has a doctorate in biology from the University of Freiburg (Germany). He is married and is the father of two adult children.
