Andreas is Tecan’s General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors. He joined Tecan in 2004 and was appointed a member of the Management Board in 2012.
Together with his team, he is responsible for compliance and all areas of law, including corporate law, commercial law, M&A, intellectual property and licensing, contracting, litigation, corporate governance, stock exchange regulations and data privacy. He also ensures with the QARA team compliance with industry standards and regulations, including medical device regulations and oversees quality assurance and control processes.
Before joining Tecan, Andreas was a legal counsel at Bär & Karrer in Zurich, Switzerland (2000-2004) and at GHR Rechtsanwälte AG, Zurich, Switzerland (1997-1999).
Andreas is an Attorney at Law (University of Berne, Switzerland) and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Boston University with a focus on intellectual properties, securities regulations and international business transactions.
