Carsten Boegh

Carsten Boegh joined Tecan’s Management Board as Head of R&D in February 2026. He brings a wealth of international experience in leading groundbreaking innovations in medical technology and product development, having held senior leadership roles at Fresenius Medical Care, Observe Medical, and Oticon. Most recently, Carsten served as Senior Vice President of the Program Management Office for the Life Sciences Business and Partnering Business at Tecan, contributing to the successful launch of innovative liquid handling and filtration platforms.

Before joining Tecan, Carsten was the Chief Technology Officer at Observe Medical, overseeing the development and launch of point of care diagnostic imaging, renal health products and digital connectivity solutions. At Fresenius Medical Care, as the Senior Vice President of Global Product Development, Carsten led the development and launch of a series of best-in-class dialysis therapy systems, diagnostic solutions and digital transformation initiatives globally. Earlier in his career, Carsten held several senior positions at Oticon, where he managed global product and portfolio strategies and led the development of wireless hearing aid technologies.

Carsten earned his Bachelor's in Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Acoustics from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
