Thank you for your recent order and the trust you have placed in Tecan. When ordering an instrument a partnership between you and Tecan begins. We will be in contact with you at various stages of this journey including pre-delivery, delivery, installation, training, routine use, application support, service interventions, preventative maintenance, upgrades and eventually disposal at the end-of-product lifecycle. This website is designed to help guide you through the early phases, from pre-delivery through to successful installation.
While your instrument is being manufactured this is a great time to plan ahead for a smooth and efficient installation. At the bottom of this page you will find links detailing each stage of the process, and this will guide you through what you should expect from Tecan in the coming weeks. You also will need to consider training, where your instrument will be positioned, any building services/IT requirements that you have and what consumables will be required.

Tab 01 / Sales order processing

1. Order entry. Your order will be double checked against the offer ensuring accuracy, then entered into our system.
2. Schedule for manufacturing. The production order will be checked, necessary supplies ordered and scheduled for manufacturing.
3. Shipment. As manufacture approaches completion a shipping date will be confirmed. We will contact you to arrange delivery to your site and delivery to bench (if ordered).
4. Installation and commissioning. Once the delivery schedule is confirmed we will be in contact to arrange installation and relevant resources required for a successful project realization and sign off.

Tab 02 / Preparation for installation

1. Assign Field Automation Specialist (FAS). Parallel to manufacturing we will assign a dedicated team for your project including your Field Automation Specialist who has overall responsibility for your project.
2. Project Kick-Off. We will arrange a kick-off meeting with all relevant persons from your company and introduce you to your Tecan project team. During this meeting we will confirm the following details:

Tab 03 / Installation and commissioning

1. Delivery. Your instrument will arrive at your site. Please ensure that there is suitable space available for you to physically take delivery.
2. Delivery to Bench. If you ordered delivery to bench, our dedicated moving team will prepare the instrument to enable successful placement to bench (as per previous site survey).
3. Unpack. We will unpack the instrument and all ordered materials, and verify the contents against the order.
4. IQ/OQ. Your FAS will perform the installation qualification (IQ) and operational qualification (OQ) to ensure the instrument is working according to our manufacturing specifications.
5. Application support. If you ordered applications support we will install all software, drivers, user management, high level overview of the software, maintenance protocols as well as the realization of your application requirements as agreed in your quotation.
6. Site acceptance. Sign off that the instrument has been installed as per the acceptance criteria detailed in your quotation.
